Building Your Marketing Foundation - This is the first step in creating a base that will support your entire marketing strategy.
We will begin crafting your author brand, identify and understand your ideal reader and begin to build your strategy for successfully marketing your book.
I will give you the tools you need to understand and continually build on your marketing plan to get your words into the hands of readers and build a loyal following.

To begin you need to build your audience. To do that you need to know who you are as a writer and who you are writing for.

Developing your Author Brand (Your Why and Who) – Complete the Q & A sheet to begin to understand your values, messaging, comfort level with various platforms and marketing opportunities.

Identifying and Locating your Ideal Reader – Complete the Q & A sheet to take a deep dive into your ideal reader. Create an Avatar of your ideal reader and begin to understand the various and most effective ways to connect to that reader.
This is a foundation of your plan that will get you started and be the basis for your future marketing. At the end of these two steps, you will have a workable strategy in place with all the components compiled in one spreadsheet - “ Reader Connection Strategy”.
This gives you a solid foundation for the future that can be refined and changed as you move forward.

These worksheets and Reader Connection Strategy Spreadsheets become the basis for creating your unique Marketing Handbook.
This will be a tool that you will keep and use over and over again. It is a place to keep your ideas, methods, analysis of plan components and a journal of your efforts. It can be used and changed as you become more experienced in the world of book marketing and it’s a tool to help you build on your existing plans and keep track of your marketing as it changes and grows.

All the information that we find will be recorded on your Reader Connection Strategy Spreadsheet. Keeping all your research and information in one place will make your marketing much easier.
