I love working with writers!  Romance has been my passion since I started reading Harlequins in sixth grade! Just like everyone else, I ‘m a work in progress and the sum of all my experiences so far. I live by the coast, but am a mountain girl at heart. I have been married for 31 years and have one son and two dogs who are currently working as my graphics designer (Lucy - lower photo) and office manager (Beau - blue heart). One day, I hope to have two-legged help - a girl can dream!

I am a voracious reader and it’s really difficult for me to pull my head out of a good romance. I also love history and travel. In 2018 I co-authored and published “Answering the Call - A Story of Everyday Valor” with New York Times Best Selling Author Kevin Maurer and that was the catalyst for a career change from Marketing/Event Planning to Book Coach.

It took me a while, but I am finally in a career that combines my love of writing and story with my project management and marketing abilities. Take it from me - you are never too old to begin again.

Miscellaneous Fun Stuff:

I worked in a carnival when I was a teenager (talk about life lessons!)

I love to craft and sometimes its the only thing that keeps me sane.

I have a tiara and wand - I have always aspired to being a princess and there are some days I wished my wand really was magic!

I listen to Christmas Carols (and sing, of course!) all year. Drives my husband nuts and gets a big eye roll from my son.

Work Experience:

I have over 25 years of marketing experience in various industry sectors with a concentration in marketing strategy and implementation of campaigns, along with content and copy writing and editing.

Event planning has always played a large part in my career - planning and implementing hundreds of events from small intimate events affairs to large multi-day sales events. Many of those events were planned around holidays and utilized the themes and traditions of the holiday to create fun, imaginative and unique experiences for potential clients.

Some of my strengths include innovative problem-solving, strategic planning and execution, editing, project and time management, understanding the psychology of sales, enhancing client experiences and journeys, effective client communication, and delivering compelling marketing presentations.

I am a Founding Member and Vice President of Membership for the Cape Fear Chapter of the American Marketing Association and a member of Networking Women of Wilmington, NC. Author Accelerator Book Certified Book Coach.
